John:
There is yet another location that I know of (no doubt there are many
others) where colorsync profiles can skulk and do their mischief in OS X:
System/Library/Printers/"printer type"/etc. These files are normally hidden
from view in the OS X finder. I was able to track them down somehow (can't
remember now), maybe via a terminal window list command or some such.
They rear their ugly heads whenever a printer is enabled in "Print Center"
and appear in an endless, useless array in various application profile drop
down dialogs. They can cause no end of confusion and mistakes when selecting
profiles for mode conversions, assignations and so on.
Is there any way to hunt them down and kill them? Or will this croak print
driver behavior?
Thank you,
Nick Wheeler
