Happy new year to all the people of the list.
I have a problem with Precal/Optical/Spyder on a Mitsubishi CRT monitor. The
screen look reddish once the profiling has been achieved and the profile is
loaded in the appropriate place, even if I use Precal before.. This problem
didn9t occur with an other profiling package that someone lent me. So I
tried to use the curves window of Optical this way: (they don9t explain how
you use this function in the manual) I did a first profiling, then I
compared the image opened in Photoshop in the background. I compared it with
the print coming from my Epson 5500 and moved the points of the red curve to
get a matching tone in the reddish light greys. Then I save this
modification as a target which appear in the Curve list of the main window.
I then profile the monitor again. The colors are corrects but is it the
right process? I understand that in doing that I modify the gamma of one of
the curves but not the whitepoint. Is it a correct way to proceed ?
