Hello folks,
Curious to see if anyone out there is having a similar situation with PS7. I
use a Nikon 4000 scanner with Nikon Scan's color management turned off in
order to produce a "raw" 16bit scan. In PS6 I would open the file and it
reads as an "untagged RGB"...I would then assign my scanner profile and
convert to my working space.
Now, with PS7... I still scan with Nikon's color mngmt off, but when I open
a 16bit file in PS7, it opens up tagged with the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile?!
I have heard that PS7 now reads EXIF data, but doesn't this have more to do
with camera input?!
Perhaps this is splitting hairs, but does the fact that I have been
"stripping" away the sRGB profile when opening it, to then assign the
scanner profile etc. affect any of the image data?
P.S. Any thoughts on the Silverfast software...?
Regards,
Dan
