fsck -y checks and repairs your filesystem. If you want a more robust
filesystem, you can now switch on journaling (you need to type some magic
words, search the net for instructions). Without journaling, a filesystem
on which you pulled the plug (eg power goes down) could become corrupted.
With journaling, it's supposed to be bullet-proof.
