Update to the latest version of OptiCAL at www. colorvision.com, in case the
version you are using suffers from a specific bug. Video corrections are not
cumulative, but the following method should assist in getting appropriate
results:
If you use PreCAL, set the white point in OptiCAL to Native; do not double
define your whitepoint.
Use the Standard, not the Precision mode, which will leave the white and
black points alone. If you wish to adjust the overall luminance do it by
adjusting all three gun controls in PreCAL until the total luminance listed
is the desired level.
Calibrate using the calibrate button in the main window, not any of the menu
items, then recalibrate the same way, and see if you luminance now stays the
same between calibrations. It should...
