Widest gamut proofer

I have a customer in the packaging business, which usually prints special
colors such as deep blues and bright oranges and greens, etc.
I'm researching his proofing options, and would like to gather opinions as
to what's the proofer with the widest gamut. Budget is up to $25k for the
device itself, without counting Rip software.
I thought of the 8-color Mutoh Falcon II plotters, which use the same heads
as the Epson 10000; but found out 8-color (CMYKOGLcLm) is only for pigment
(at least with OEM inks), which is never the best choice for color proofing.
I remember ColorSpan's Mach-12 was going to support CMYKOGRBLcLm but it
seems that inkset never materialized; also the Rip is not proofing oriented.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions...
