1. Yes Jack, I am not moaning, I am proposing to do it myself. Or rather
find a way so it happens by itself.In fact so far 6 people have contacted
me off list so I feel that someone must have empathy for my opinions.
2. I don't have the money for the current crop of CMS products. But I do
have some interest and skills in neural nets etc. I would like a
hand-drill and not a jackhammer, and you are pointing out that a
hand-drill will not do jackhammer duty. As an engineer I fully agree that
test-equipment is usually a good investment and a fair deal; but there are
cases when a small lab will survive with the bare minimum of equipment,
particularly in the poor and technically backward areas of northern
gallia.
3. Last not least, the D1X without a decent bundled NEF decoder and CMS is
really not doing a service to Nikon.
