Let me fix some of my post, I don't think I was very clear about one thing.
The point I am trying to make is that you cannot simply treat ImagePrint like
Wasatch or Onyx, the color engine has to be engaged (after printing a raw
target and making a profile) to get decent color. Of course it is disengaged
to create the profile, but you can't do profile to profile conversions in
Photshop and expect to skirt the ImagePrint color engine forever like you can
in Postershop. If you profile ImagePrint with the color engine disabled, make
a profile, do a profile to profile conversion in Photoshop, and print to
ImagePrint with color management set to "none", you won't get the results you
could by using the built-in engine. This is where ImagePrint differs from most
other RIPs where usually it is totally possible to do the conversions in
Photoshop and pass the converted data off to the RIP simply for printing.
