The linearisation function is used for rather wildly varying devices that
don't have linearisation tools and or measuring instruments on board/off.
You can safely use the calibrations for the printers before profiling. The
reason that maybe you're experiencing lightening is the perceptual intent
probably should be changed to relative by default. When you're printing out
are you letting the conversions happen before or in rip? Possibly the source
is not being referenced in the transform.
