An update/FYI on Tony Sanna's (& my own & others) frustrations trying to use
Linocolor flatbed scanners in OS X:

Bad news on the SCSI>firewire adapter front. The Initio device won't work.
Also spoke with Belkin tech people (similar gizmo listed on their web site,
supposed to support scanners, drives, burners) - they said "scanners? maybe
in Windows, definitely not in OS X".

Between that & crippled Epson drivers, I guess I'm still stuck with using
Jaguar for some stuff, but re-booting in OS 9 when I need to do real work.
