Wouldn't be, at all. This versions are really different, for better I think.

Just I said before, has a big gap between 5x / 6x, but what about your
criteria in evaluate your monitor?
Did you have any image that was printed in a faithfull presshouse, I mean
already color management press house, or evem have you some trusted sample
images from well knowed sources?
If you made any custon lookup table to adjust your screen results, the whole
process coudn't to judged in that way.

I'm not saying that this option will solve every problem, just a optimise
setting, that's all.

Nope. Until I know, RI will be used only in conversions RBG > RGB.... RGB

If you try to convert from RGB to CMYK, would be file specific dependent,

Don't ask me, but Bruce Fraser talking about this some time ago, try to find
out in the early posts.

Well, your PM version are too old, I guess. I saw many posts talking about a
not so good monitor profiling result from early PM that 4.15 version. If to
upgrade for that PM version i$n't a choice, maybe a standalone monitor
profiling package will be budge saving option.
I couldn't to help in PM 3.14 procedures because I really don't know this
version (Rodney? Holmegaard? anyone?)
But, you didn't any mention about your OS version. For 9x or higher the "RGB
profile" is not the "display profile".
Could you recheck colosync display option?

Best regards, and again thanks for the help.
You are welcome.
