If the film recorder is an LVT (Durst/Dice, Kodak) the software that runs it
can do an excellent CMYK>RGB transform. There are limitations; it can't do
anything about CMYK's narrower gamut, or fix the shadow detail lost because
of whatever UCR or GCR was applied (that information is gone for all time),
or do anything about the sharpening applied for the CMYK usage (which is
usually much too strong for a continuous-tone RGB film recorder).
