Black Width in Profile Maker

Has any one done any tests with this option ? I have been in the past few
weeks.
So going with the suggested setting of 100% width,I think I read that
somewhere ? unless your profile is for Gravure.
I have been experimenting with different settings, 50% and 75% width.
What I have seen is if you look at the channels using the PDI image or any
other with fleshtones that at 100% width the cyan is somewhat flat.
The black is carrying all of the shape, and yes I know that is what GCR is
supposed to do but.... it seems like the width is more of a adjustment of
how much
unwanted color to be replaced by black.
So with a 75% width it reduces the amount of GCR in "colors" which will
give you more shape in your other 3 channels.
Just by backing off slightly on width will make separations that would
have more shape in the cyan channel in fleshtones/ colors.
I guess what Im saying is that its not just a Gravure option and it seems
to give more options to an already great package.
Atleast thats what Im seeing !!!

Any Comments ?

John
