Top of their class, in their respective categories: pigment ink for the 2200
and dye for the 1280. The decision between the two would largely be based on
whether you prefer the advantages of dyes or pigments, though Epson may not
offer both indefinately; in which case you would need to look to a different
brand (the Canon i9100 comes to mind as a comparable model) to continue finding
dye ink solutions.
