There's no difference in print quality between 48/24 bit files
printed with PS and PS Elements (AdobeRGB space + the same
printer profile). PS Elements is 24 bit only. It wouldn't
surprise me if PS exports the raw file in 24 bit to the driver
and the driver scales it up internally to 48 bit for some
calculations like Gimp-print does. So the bottle neck may as well
be in PS. Will ask Mike Chaney of Qimage fame what his software
sends to the driver, with the extra interpolation etc off in that
program there is little difference with PS output.
