Better is a bit subjective, but different, yes. Many users are really looking
for bright, saturated colors in their, well, bright saturated colors... which
is why the saturation intent, though colorimetrically inexact, may well suit
their tastes, at least in software that bothers to generate a photographically
capable saturation intent, instead of assuming its just for bar graphs.
