Hi Roger,
What do you mean by "proper" ICM icon? Something that isn't a generic file's
icon? When you right click on a profile, do you get the option to install or
uninstall the profile?
ICC and ICM files are already registered on my XP system as type "ICC
Profile" and I certainly did not manually add that. If you aren't seeing
that when looking at the file types list via Control Panel -> Folder
Options -> File Types tab, then perhaps some application you
installed/uninstalled changed the file type association.
If icc and icm files are not registered that way on your system, I would
just hit "new" under that File Types tab, enter the extension and select
"ICC Profile" in the list presented after selecting "Advanced". If "ICC
Profile" is not listed... something is quite off.
If they are already associated as "ICC Profile", then you could change the
icon for the file type by choosing the extension in the file type list and
selecting Advanced -> Change Icon.
Hope this is what you were looking for...
- Andy
