Custom profiling is enabled on the i950 by the available "no color
correction" driver setting. No problem.
In automatic mode, all the usual color sliders are available just
like in the Epson driver (plus a couple extra sliders, perhaps). Also
available are lots of other automatic settings I didn't test (I have
no interest in those).
I also discovered that both the standard (automatic) setting as well
as the colorsync setting (using the canned Canon profile) give better
results if the image file starts in something like sRGB. When
printing with a custom profile (which I haven't done quite yet), you
probably have to convert in PS7 since the Canon driver doesn't give
you a way to specify even source (much less other conversion params).
The Epson driver can handle the conversion a little better, as
everyone knows. But this is no big deal as far as I'm concerned,
since I work this way (converting to printer profile in PS7) when
using Epsons too.
The only missing items (vs Epson) are an explicit resolution setting
and a "use black ink only" setting. The latter might have been fun to
try for totally neutral b&w prints given the extremely high
resolution of this printer, but if it's not there... Anyway, as I
said, the neutrality was darn close to perfect even using all 6
colors, and I hope to soon be able to add my own comments on whether
it can indeed be made *perfect* (without qualifiers) via custom
profiling, as CD has already stated. It's already darn close, though.

One quibble (aside from the colorsync issue) is that there's no
numerical setting for resolution in the driver, unlike Epson which
allows you to choose 1440X720, 720X720 etc. But since I always print
Just a little question; does it allow no color adjustment then in the
driver.
