I never thought I'd do it either, but here I sit with a dedicated Windows
RIP in a room full of Macs. The hardware is really cheap and it frees up
the Macs for more fun tasks. RIPing is a really processor intensive task
and I enjoy having a dedicated (and wicked cheap!) box sitting in the
corner crunching numbers. Additionally, (or at least until recently) RIPs
seem to run a bit smoother on the Windows platform.
