MacLinkPlus (
http://www.dataviz.com/products/index.html) running on a
receiving Mac (X or Classic) will allow you to fix the type and creator
(with or without doing a conversion). They make similar utilities for
Windows called Mac Opener and another more comprehensive one called
Conversion Plus (which includes Mac Opener functionalities). I have no
experience with the Windows utilities but if all you want to do is fix the
type and creator Mac Opener will probably do it for less $.
You would do the fix after the profile is on its destination platform.
