The toyo magenta is very "purple." That is it has a lot of cyan in it.

So what I'm going to propose is substituting Rhodamine instead of the

Anyone ever try this and what should I expect for the results?

Adding, or substititing Rhodamine for Magenta is not uncommon; but it does
require custom seperations. You will need to convert all images and process
color blends for this inkset, not accept standard CMYK files like SWOP, or your
results will be even more off color than they are now. If you can specify a
replacement ink, why not a purer Magenta, instead of Rhodamine?
