We've had a very good experience with the Imacon 2848--big brother to the
848--when scanning reflectives up to A3 in size. No overlays and no glass to
mess with. The print simply lays upon an electrostatic bed and is sucked down
flat for scanning. Very fast and clean.

The 848 is a big step up for the Precision III (the model prior to the
848).
