Guys and gals
I need a sanity check please ;-)
I feel as if I must be being stupid here, because how could such a basic mistake
have been made.
PMPro 4.1.1
ECI2002 DTP41 targets and reference files.
My problem is with the European target and reference:
The ECI2002 CMYK DTP41 testchart itself has 62 rows of 24 patches, 1488
fields in all.
But the reference file defines another 6 empty rows for a total of 1632
fields. Of course the consequence of this is that once one reaches the
end of a long measuring session with the DTP, the <Measure Tool>
software does not save out the measurement file, but wants to measure
another 6 rows.
No one noticed? Perhaps there are no ECI2002/DTP41 users out there?
I'm presuming it's acceptable to remove the empty rows from the target
reference file and redefine the number of fields. Does that sound OK?
Thought I'd perhaps fall back on the US target, which might fit on an
A3 sideways a bit easier anyway. Especially on a laser.
However, there is apparently no US target file although there is a
reference for one [with 1500 patches defined, in rows of 20]. Part of
the last strip is made up of empty (0000) fields of course.
Can anyone be my psychiatrist please? am I going crackers?
This on top of dealing with how PMPro 4.1.1 added it's own target and
reference files to those installled by 4.1! I thought atotal reinstall
had fixed everything - but!
all the best
neil
