Ive been using ImagePrint with a quadtone inkset. Quality is great, my main
complaint is that as an end user I cant build my own quadtone profiles or
linearize output, so Im deciding between Colorburst and Ergosofts
StudioPrint for quadtone printing on an Epson 9000 and 7500. My
understanding from each companys reps is I can create quadtone profiles (or
calibrations) and relinearize to insure consistency, using an Eye One
spectro. Colorburst has profiling capability built into the RIP, but for
StudioPrint Id need to buy software. One main difference in MonacoProof,
MoncoGold, and Eye One Match is the ability for black generation UCG/GCR.
Will this feature provide benefits in a strictly monochromatic workflow on
the Epson inkjets or is it only beneficial for CMYK printing?
