Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to convert luminance (for CMK)
and chroma (for Y) to ink density for the purpose of linearization? I'm
testing a RIP but I do not have a compatible instrument to read
linearizations. I am gathering data with a colorimeter (DTP 51). I've
got a few questions related to this. Please indulge me, I'm trying to
learn a few things while I do this. :)
1. How do I 'normalize and invert' the luminance data so it matches my
inputs?
2. For yellow, how do I deal with that little dip at the beginning of
the chroma curve?
3. Does it make sense to linearize this way? (Perhaps this should be
question 1)
Thanks for any input.
Kevin.
