Another RIP to look at is the ColorBurst RIP from CSE. This is a
Windows based RIP software. Also, CSE has another product currently in
release called X-Photo.
You can look at these RIPs at www.compatsys.com.
I have been using Colorburst for Windows for over two years and find it
a fantastic RIP. It has all of the features you could ever need for
good color control, built-in ICC generation, linearization, and ink
limiting.
Also, it is fast. The Windows version is very fast. One of the benefits
of it is that it doesn't need to preprocess any data when sizing,
nesting, or rotating.
This would be my first choice in a RIP for fine art printing.
