Hello All !
Been reading and learning for a while now, and I sure get a lot out of
all the dialogue.
I have had a problem with my 22" cinema display since day one.
There is not much to adjust on it, so I followed previous messages
advice and set it to 2.2 gamma.
Using Imacon flexcolor and Photoshop to create images, we find that
the monitor is too contrasty, compared to
two LaCie blue eye monitors and all the printed pieces we have produced.
I found that I have to set the display's gamma almost all the way down
to achieve a correct looking image in Flexcolor and PS.
I know this is wrong but what choice to I have? It just looks right.
I would be O.K. with this except apps like Explorer and Netscape
present images that look washed out but look perfect when the monitor
is set to the correct 2.2 gamma.
I know something is wrong here but what?
All images are processed from Flexcolor to PS tagged with Adobe RGB
1998.
Finally should my colorsync be set to generic RGB or Adobe RGB 1998?
Thanks,
Kevin Hewitt
