Cris, I assume the "black issue" to which you refer
applies mainly to the 10000 and 10600 which don't have
a light black ink. If so, I would, therefore, assume
that were we to use UC inks on our contract proofing
system you'd suggest the 7600/9600 over the 10600 to
avoid the black issue. (Or is it your experience that
this black issue is also a concern with the
7600/9600?)
Given the discussion, I'm leaning toward suggesting
the 7600/9600--C. David's most recent post suggests
that the light black ink employed by 9600 provides for
faster drydown and less color shifting as a result of
less ink being laid down.
