Its not even the most affordable solution that ColorVision offers... that
would be the Spyder, not SpyderPRO, the one that I noted as being about a
hundred and seventy bucks for educational purchases, and with a street price
of about $199. Most of the sites that I deal with want OptiCAL for the
features, but that varies. The idea that open licensing means that you can
buy one sensor and calibrate a million monitors is not very realistic; I find
that anything much above ten stations ends up breaking down into groups that
each need their own calibrator, for assorted reasons. Another novel element
of the current SpyderPRO multiseat licensing, is that the ten seat pack comes
with one Spyder, the 25 seat pack comes with two Spyders, and the 50 seat
pack comes with three. There's a certain logic to that...
