Sorry, I had to change the subject line to something more fitting. It
drives me nuts when folks leave "colorsync-users digest" as the subject
line. Pet peeve of mine I guess.
Dear Terry
Yes me too..apologies for the slip up...I have been out of circulation
for several days so this is my first opportunity to post.

A
further point which has bothered me is the suggestion that the black is
insufficiently dense for contract proofing work. Would you or anyone
here like to comment please regarding the density issue?
I believe I was the one who commented on the low black Dmax on the
W2200 a while back. Just for reference, I was using Dupont ChromaPro XP
Gloss paper and was only getting about a 1.70-1.80 on that paper. I
can't imagine a change of paper improving that significantly. My
experience tells me I need about 1.90 or higher to get a minimum L
value in my profile of 12 or less. Anything more (L) than that and I'm
guaranteed to have shadow rendering problems. Other than that, a very
nice printer. It's too bad.
Thanks for the clarification. On the Canon gloss paper I see just over
2, but on the Best Colorproof output on their SM paper on a print
supplied it is reading around 1.6 but then perhaps the black is being
held back?
Later,
Terry
Thanks
Richard
