CMYK 48-bit TIFF to CMYK 32-bit TIFF

Hi:

Does anybody know of an application or utility that can convert 16-bit CMYK TIFF
files to 8-bit CMYK TIFF files, and do it in a batch mode, preferably with hot folders?

I'm doing fine art inkjet printing, and I'm coming out of iQueue in 16-bit CMYK TIFF,
and need to go into the RIP as an 8-bit CMYK TIFF (as it seems that neither iQueue
nor the RIP can do the conversion), with both applications using hot folders.

My color management is completed out of iQueue, and I want to avoid running the
image through a color managed application to do the bit-depth conversion. I looked
at DeBabilizer, but it can't do it. Is the process of quantizing, and the results, the
same for all applications that convert bit-depth?

Thanks,

Jim
