Hey folks,
I have real challenging question. I have a customer who is laminating
their prints. The laminate shifts the color quite radically from the
unlaminated substrate. Obviously we can create profiles for the unlaminated
and laminated (final) print but am confused as to how to put together the
conversion. If we convert to the unlaminated profile the colors shift when
the laminated is applied. If we convert to the laminated profile the wrong
CMYK values are sent to the printer (unlaminated).
The laminate makes everything a bit yellow but if I pull back yellow in
an edit the it doesn't react the same. Better to maybe edit the white point
but of which profile and which one should I use to convert to?
My gut feeling is telling me this is a proofing scenario or device link
workflow. I don9t want the customer to go through massive profile editing to
get this to work. TIA
