I have one. It's a fast , efficient and very economical printer. For the
price it comes with a built in colorimeter, and a Postscript 3 rip that is
for both Mac and PC. The inks are dye so you'll have very extended Pantone
matching yet they will fade quickly compared to pigment inks.
What I like best about it is the economical inks that seems to last forever.
No excessive cleaning cycles and never a clogged nozzle.
HP released the OsX rip about 6 months ago and works well enough. The color
matching with the proofing papers are a decent loose color match. The
Pantone matching is excellent.

Are there any other printers that are similar in price and features?
It is a Postscript printer designed to do desktop proofing (loose color)
before going out to a prepress house. It is the only printer with a built in
colorimeter and a Postscript 3 rip multiplatform. The only other printer
like it would be the 120 which is a 24" printer but similar features and
design.
Both Canon and Epson have A3+ printers which can be fitted out with a good
or even very good rip, add a calibration device and your quite a bit more
expensive. Then there are the consumables to count in too.
