Good idea. But, in all honesty, the vendor *should* then appropriately tag
the image with some variant of an sRGB profile! Otherwise, it's job is
incomplete. But I doubt that is the case. I've worked with this scanner and
that is not the way it works. It makes some assumptions about destination
space but it's not even based on an ICC model but rather on a "drum-scanner"
type of masking equations.
