I have just experimented for the first time with OSX 10.2.6 ColorSync Profile
First Aid on profiles which
are OSX native only. OS 9.2 was removed months ago, drive reformatted and OSX
installed.
Twenty profiles out of 82 have been identified as faulty. To date I have NOT
pushed the repair button as I am
suspicious of ColorSyncs' findings.
All monitor and printer profiles created by myself do not show any faults
however I am surprised that
Adobe RGB 1998 is showing faulty. All profiles showing faulty have not been
modified by me whatsoever.
The following are examples of ColorSyncs findings.
Adobe RGB (1998)
Tag 'cprt:Tag type is not correct.
Phase One
Profiles (Demo DSLR raw converter WWW download) unused to date
' Header white point is not D50'
Nikon profiles
'Header profile class is not correct'
'Header version is not correct'
Header white point is not D50'
Offset Print and Offset print -US Catalog
Seven errors under each - .
Is it wise to repair the indicated faults or is this a ColorSync bug and
therefore I should ignore the ColorSync warnings. If I do not repair the
Profiles what problems might I encounter further on down the road ?
Regards
Nick Walker
