What else do you want a display to do? I'd love it to fold laundry but that
would add substantially to the price.
What I can tell you, based on working with the product in Alpha stage,
working with other systems (including first PressView and later Barco) as
well as other systems is that the Artisan is the gold standard. Ease of use,
elegant software, very consistent, and a reference in that I've seen
multiple Artisans with the same soft proof look identical. I trust what I
see with all confidence on the Artisan. I've also seen some pretty
impressive black behavior that nothing short of a $5000 Barco (which I
gladly sold on Ebay before release) could match.

You can set the display to virtually anything you wish. There are a number
of presets (I use D65 FineArt) but with the custom mode, you can set it to
any aim point you wish. I frankly don't remember what the default preset is
the very first time you launch the software but I'm pretty sure it's D65!
