Batch Profile Printout Procedure

  • Subject: Batch Profile Printout Procedure

I just generated a full spectrum of ProfileMaker 4.1.5 RGB profiles from a specific target printout. There are 32 profiles in all, using all permutations of size, perceptual rendering, gamut mapping, and optical brightener options (but only D50 viewing light source).

To most easily do a comparative overview of what I've gotten, I am planning to:

* take one standard test image and Convert to Profile to each of the profiles (in Perceptual rendering) and Convert to Profile to each of the profiles -- discounting the perceptual rendering variants -- for RelCol rendering;

* then place them all onto several pages ganged for output;

* and output that untagged document with the Same As Source setting for Print Space.

Does that procedure sound as though each image would appear the same as it would if the original image was printed in turn from its original working space through each particular output profile (which would take a lot more babysitting)?
