Actually no. . .you can choose to either store the CR settings in the Camera
Raw database or as side car XMP files within the folder the raw files
reside. If you open an image, the raw settings are embedded in the XMP
metadata as well as in the database or side car file. You can easily go back
and re-open the file with the previous settings already set.
Moreover, you can go through the images one by one or series by series and
apply the camera raw settings (again in metadata) to as many images you
want. You can always go back and edit the individual file's CR metadata
before committing to the processing by hitting the option/alt key to
"update" the CR settings. This allows you to change or alter the settings as
often as you wish.
I would seriously suggest people make an attempt to understand the behavior
and workflow provided by CR II and PS CS-it bares very little relationship
to CR I and Photoshop 7. The Chromatic Aberration correction alone is worth
learning how to use CR II.
