Hi Eric
Yes I know- sorry I didn4t mean only ACR is useful, of course other
products like bibble, breeze etc.etc. are doing well also.
It4s mainly a question of integration into existing workflows.
At YxyMaster we had to learn that the acceptance of people to use an
additional
tool outside of their existing workflows is very low.
Adobe has definitely put up a new measurement with version cue and ACR2 goes
fully into that,
means it is accessibel within the full suite.
I know it is hard to accept for 3rd party developers but likewise fighting
against windmills.
I guess nobody has tried to reinvent photoshop for the last 5-10 years and I
tell you
this will be about the same.
If any - the only question I have to Adobe is not about to use custom camera
profiles.
I would ask about to use RGB Workspaces freely because here in europe many
people
now use ECI rgb, and there are other special attempts which demand different
choices.
I would also ask why Adobe does not take the logical step to leave the
rawfiles alone unchanged
(well mostly-because this is technicaly not possible) and only produces an
ICC containing the
alterations, and allow this to be tagged to the image. ACR3 maybe ? <G>
Other idea: why not leave the Raw with Gamma 1.0 ,put these manipulations
into a layer mask
and open the image with layers in general ?
At least this should be one choice out of 3 (standard as today, tagged ICC
and Layers).
Well, then I would be kind of happy...........<G>
Now for the targets: yes - there are plans to do new FM targets again
sometime later ,
in the meantime our color targets II ( 3 sizes lenght ca. 20,30 and 40 cm)
are still available through dealers here in Germany,
in case of interest I4ll send their adresses by email.
Thanks for your time

Hi stefan.
There are other solutions.... www.bibblelabs.com
Do you plan on making your targets again in the future? We are always
looking for better tools for improving our raw wokflow...which will already
be a lot better in the next version.
Eric
