Hi List
Does anyone know how I can get a peek in to the spec of Euroscale Coated v2,
to see it's dot gain, ink limits and so forth? And for that matter any of
the default pres profiles ?
Is it possible in Photoshop ?
If you want to investigate the printing conditions in Europe, I would
recomend you to use the Profiles of the European Color Initiative (ECI)
instead of Euroscale Coated.
There are two sets of profiles for different papers and printing
conditions according to ISO 12647-2 available at
<
http://www.eci.org/eng/pages/profiles_e.html#fogra>.
The sets contain also informations about dot gain, ink limits, ...
The profiles are based on measurement data taken in autumn 2002 by FOGRA
(German reserch organisation for printing). The measurement files
(characterization data) for offset, newspaper and screen printing are
available in the download area at <
http://www.fogra.org/>
But please pay attention: FOGRA is workin on new measurement data and
the current ECI profiles and data will be replaced soon, so stay tuned
to the ECI and FOGRA website.
