Oh - sorry to forward you to a german page.
26 Systems got testet from the following companies:
http://www.digitalproof-forum.de/aussteller.nclk
what was the requirement:
print the altona visual page to simulate paper type 2 (matt, coated)
web. As reference the attendees got the Altona Visual testsuite as PDF
and a reference profile. (more to find at
http://www.altonatestsuite.com/en/index.php) within about 4 hours.
1. Requirement: closest match compared to the mediawedge 2.0.
2. best visual match compared to reference prints
Also they had to print the Altona Technical page as good as possible
(fonts and overprint combinations)
The visual match was separated into 6 requirements
CMYK Simulation
Multitone and Spotcolors
Overprinting
ColorManagement
Shades
Resolution
In addition the needed time was recorded
6 systems printed the technical page correct
gmg
cgs
fuji
agfa
prinergy
metarip
the most used printer was the epson 7600. In combination with the
SW-RIP the worst an one of the best results got achieved.
The PDF/X support gains
still a problem are the substrates and the colors in terms of
stability, fading, different light, ...
some errors occurred due to wrong handling of the operator
the perfect proof rip came in combination with 3 printers:
epson 7600
hp ps 10
canon 7250
best results got achieved with the ep7600
the system was OK except the output of the technical suite an its
"ignorance" of the ICC-Settings in a PDF file.
