I would have to disagree with these results. This was something I had tested
repeatedly with the previously invisible ColorSync Utility, and retested with
it now that it advertises itself in the printer driver under Panther. I aslo
reran the test before making this post, using a twisted profile with makes
colors unquestionably wrong if it is invoked. In all instances, setting the C
olorSync utility's selected profile for all media settings of an Epson inkjet
to
the twisted profile made no difference in printed results with No Color
Adjustment selected. Frankly, the difficulty with ColorSync level printer
profile
conversion is not turning it off, its turning it on... and of course the issue
of
controlling intents and source profiles when it is turned on.
I would suspect that you did not manage to get identical settings in both
instances.
