With the test I just did, I would say you're correct (if again my science is
OK). Measuring the same emissive spot on the Artisan over and over again
produced no more than .2 deltaE.

In the last test, I tried using the EyeOne without the little cup goodie for
sticking on screen thinking that I'd have no gap. It seemed to work well.
The variation I think I'm seeing has more to do with the location of the
EyeOne near the menu bar (get too close and there has to be some spill). As
I move the EyeOne closer and closer to the white menu bar, the deltaE values
go up from the center reading. That seems logical.

Indeed. I really LOVE the iCColor. I had some issues before the last
firmware (it could have a hissy fit from time to time) but now it's rock
solid. I've made nearly 300 profiles on it since July. I can't think of
another unit that I'd even consider using for this many targets.
