The only work around I know of is a SCSI to FireWire converter. The
converters are usually plug and play. RATOC and 2ndwave make them. The RATOC
claims 20Mb/sec Ultra SCSI while the 2nd wave claims 5 to 10Mbps, but I have
heard that real throughput may be less. It should outpace your scanner
however as most scanners do not transfer at more than 10Mbps anyway. I have
heard of some issues with these adapters so I would double check any return
policies before purchasing.

Good Luck, I'd also check with Creo re: OSX native software or look at a
third party scanning program that supports OSX.
