ink limit
ink limit

I'm working with a Roland FJ 400 8 color inkjet.
It is strictly used by an artist for her own work and as such we find
it difficult to shell out another several thousand dollars to pay for
rip software, since the only reason for it, would be to limit the ink
in order to print a target for creating a profile. The software
supplied only does profile to profile or "no correction" which puts out
so much ink that the target colors run and cant be read by a
spectrometer.
Is there any other way to limit and control the ink flow ?
Perhaps a profile that is set up not to change the colors ..... ?
If anyone has a poor mans version of how to do this we would really
appreciate it.
thanks beforehand
