I've run into a very weird problem I can't figure out:
If I place an image (or vector graphic or whatever) in quark 4.11 (CMS off)
and print this I get one result. If I generate a PDF of the same content I
get a different result.
Cut to the bone, If we talk about a single CMYK tiff image, I get identical
behaviour out of Photoshop and Quark 4.11, but different behaviour out of
PDF files printed through Acrobat.
If I place the PDF file in Quark the result is similar the the straight
print out of Acrobat 5.
I've distilled with Distiller 5+6 to PDF 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 but all with
similar results (difference between Quark/PS and with Acrobat). Distiller is
set to not color manage (setting none).
All files are untagged, and everything is printed without Color
management/Same as source.
And I'm getting mad, and loosing progressively more hair <G>...
Any help will be greatly appreciated (I'm still on site).
Best Regards
