No scanners listed in colorsync utility

Epson scanner not listed under 'scanners' in colorsync utility. Is this normal for Epson in OS X? I'm assuming that the scanner will use the appropriate profile; however, I'd like to go on a little bit more than faith. I need to be sure I've got the right profile associated w/ the scanner, since I'm using Colorvision ProfilerPlus to try and improve the profiles associated with my Epson 1280 printer.

I've searched the archives a bit but have not really found what I was looking for.
