There is some flexibility in CIE94. The use of symmetric or non symmetric
chromanance, for instance, and the choice of "k" factors.
Various references seem to disagree on these parameters (the
authoritative reference doesn't seem to be on line unfortunately).
For instance, 0.048, 0.014:
