Untagged Browser images.

Hi,

can anyone tell me how, under MacOS X, a Cocoa or Carbonized web browser (which I understand means it is CSync aware) handles an image which does *not* have a profile embedded? My understanding is that the ColorSync preferences in MacOS X simply tell the OS how to handle untagged images.
