Hi, I am having an issue with Panther/ColorSync Utility on my iBook.
The details of my struggles are here:
http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,8346286~root=macdsl~mode=flat
But here's what you need to know. I have an original Tangerine iBook
300MHz G3, and I have fresh installed Panther 7B85 on it. The trouble
is the screen is extremely bright, and when I attempt to calibrate my
display from System Preferences I get a message from ColorSync Utility
that the factory profile cannot be found, and it quits.
In Jaguar, an iBook profile came preinstalled that looked great. I have
tried copying this profile into Panther and still no luck. Check the
link above for more details, but if anyone knows how I can get my
display calibrated, or at least how to get a working profile. Any help
is appreciated.
Thanks,
Russ
